The crew of volunteers, skippers and Veterans take pride in sailing many types of vessels all year long and in all weather. Veterans are not just tourists on their boats, they are an integral part of the crew. When headed out on their first voyage Veterans all start as strangers and eventually become sailors through hands-on training. SailAhead works with other organizations to host multiple sailing events for Veterans and their families throughout the year.
